Soul Eaters or Malices are the Delusions in Les Beyond East. They are players who have been corrupted by unholy fruit. They can be obtained by chance when farming (1%) or buying the ornate box for 99 Robux, which contains a random unholy fruit.
Once a player eats an unholy fruit, from their perspective, they will begin experiencing delusions of burned hands with red outlines reaching towards them from all directions, their avatar trying to escape their reach in response. Their walkspeed is slowed during this episode. From the perspective of other players, there will be a short burst of red streaks around the person, although the hands and red tint will not be visible, so it will look as if they are avoiding nothing (see Visions for more). These delusions will continue until the person dies, as there is currently no way to revert to normal.
Effects at Night[]
After five episodes, the player will transform during nightfall.
Before midnight, the player will receive a notification supposedly coming from themselves. These can be "I WILL EAT YOU!" "NO, NO, NO!" "I'M FEELING HUNGRY!"
The player's back is bent backward, and their arms will reach out.
Malices, if they wish to avoid vulnerability, are to execute at least one person per night. For every person they execute that night, a single red circle (known as a soul) will be placed in a random position on a ring around them. Once morning arrives, they will gain 25% more max health if they have collected at least one soul (although this can only happen once). Players may also receive a soul if they eat another Forbidden Fruit while they are transformed. They will not receive a Vision in this state, instead a soul will simply be added to their ring.
If a Malice does not get at least one soul, once morning arrives they will be stabbed in the back by a large shard, which will cause them to lose 50% of their max health. If they go another consecutive night without getting any souls, they will be lifted off the ground by one of the hands and killed, removing their unholy fruit effect.
Executing a person as a Malice will regain approximately 25% of your energy and 10% of your hunger. The person's corpse will scatter around the area.
A player attacked by a Malice will lose 20 health. Shards will impale the area they've been struck in, which will despawn eventually. After five hits, assuming they don't recover health, they will become immobilized and can be killed, via pressing F to execute them.
The only immunity to Malices is to be a Malice yourself, as they cannot hurt each other, though they can briefly knock each other down with enough hits. If you are about to transform at midnight, note that you are still vulnerable to other soul eaters until you transform.
Malice can break every door in the game. Dungeon/Jail doors and the gate to the village may have increased vitality compared to other doors, and will take either multiple ills or many nights to break them down. The only way to repair a door is to use the repair kit found in the Maha house next to the front desk and Majora palace under the stairs in the mudroom.
The more Malices there are breaking down a door, the faster it will break. The sound of the door being hit will change depending on how many Malices are attacking the door (capping at 3), with the spikes that appear in the door with each hit increasing in size.
